According to the SBA Office of Advocacy, there are 30.2 million small businesses in this country, which comprise a whopping 99.9% of all United States businesses (fewer than 500 employees). With the gift-giving season around the corner, I am personally imploring you to skip the convenience of Amazon, Target/Walmart “instacart” shopping, or big-box retailers, and support your local “mom and pop” shops. With the impending sensitivities around the survivability of so many small businesses, we all could use your generosity and support, now more than ever.
